Afternoon Closure

Abercynon Medical Centre will be closed on Thursday, 21st May 2026 from 1pm for staff training. 

During this time if you require urgent care that cannot wait until the morning then please call 01656 523650 for the Out of Hours Services. 

• Community Pharmacies are open for Common ailments such as coughs headaches sore throats and diarrhoea.
• Health Information and advice is available by calling 111.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board are re-starting the Protected Time for Learning for Clinical and Non-Clinical Practice Staff in Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr.

This time will be incredibly useful to Primary Care Colleagues and an opportunity to improve education and training of our workforce allowing continued Professional Development for all our team.
